the young boy is one of tens of thousands of refugees who've been forced to leave their homes in southern Afghanistan and seek safer havens in and around Kabul, mostly in refugee camps run by the United Nations

According to UNHCR, 2.1 million Afghan refugees were reported in 72 asylum countries; UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon visits the camps for displaced persons in northern Sri Lanka; Red Cross: refugee status in Sri Lanka "very critical"
