An average of 40,000 daytrippers poured into the city on peak days, prompting Venice\u2019s local authority to announce it would enforce a long-mooted entrance ticket from next year.<br><br>\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/travel\/article\/venice-entry-fee-tourists\/index.html\">Venice has finally revealed the details for its entrance fee, making it the first city in the world to charge daytripper visitors.<\/a> Starting in spring 2024, visitors to the floating city will have to pay 5 euros ($5.40) to enter on peak days if they\u2019re not staying the night.<br><br> \n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/travel\/articles\/1802690\/tourist-overcrowding-prague-nightmare\">Tourist claims they \u2018didn\u2019t like\u2019 top destination which was like \u2018medieval Disneyland\u2019<\/a><br>\nA tourist has taken to Reddit to complain about one of the world\u2019s most popular tourist destinations. They said Prague was ruined due to crowds.<br><br> \n\nOne tourist \u2018robinlmorris\u2019 said: \u201cI\u2019ve been to Venice in summer and Kyoto in April, but nothing was as bad as Prague in September. \u201cWall to wall tourists and all the shops sold cheap tourist crap. The main square was full of bad street performers that had nothing to do with Prague. It felt more like medieval Disneyland than a real city. We didn\u2019t like it all.\u201d According to Euromonitor, tourists outnumber local residents by six to one in Prague, much less than in another top European destination.<br><br> \n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/travel\/articles\/1802357\/versailles-france-crowds-nightmare-busy\">A popular tourist attraction in France has been slammed as visitors &#8216;felt like cattle being herded&#8217;<\/a><br>\n\u201cVersailles was the worst, everyone shuffling through the halls one teeny step at a time in the sweltering heat. There were so many people inside the palace that I could see way more people than the actual rooms and treasures.
